A three-legged Buffalo Nickel is worth about $700, give or take. But caveat emptor. It's long been known that some unscrupulous people will try to alter a regular Buffalo Nickel and pass it off as a three-legged variety. There is a new player in the fake game, though...Newly struck coins are coming out of China. The coins are artificially aged and passed off as authentic. Just be careful who you buy from...

Yep, China, and even N Korea are producing very good fakes of gold & silver coins/rounds. It takes a test kit, or dealing with a well known company or dealer to not waste your money.
Not much more we can do about N Korea, but with China we could be just a whole lot more direct. Just like the fentanyl they're sending to Mexico and killing 100,000 people in our country a year, there's nothing that goes on in China the CCP doesn't know about.
Between the fentanyl, fake coins, fake Gucci/etc merchandise, and all the other things they're ripping us off on, our government is overlooking their "indiscretions". We could put an end to it with a strong policy of - either knock it off, or we'll put a sizeable tariff on everything Chinese. But we won't. Too many of the uni-party are in Chinese pockets, too many ex-politicians are lobbying for them, and we'll continue to ignore the quiet Chinese war against this country.

Another case of being poor has advantages. I don’t get drugs from a backyard chemist nor a Gucci what ever. Problem solved with out more Government interference. The Government has a habit of making a simple problem worse if at all possible.
