tabitha, Well, I watched parts of both videos, and it's obvious the Germans have a much better method. But I had to quit watching after 7 minutes because they talk funny, I could only understand ein and a couple other words. I also noticed there wasn't one Mexican on the German roof, which to me proves it can be done.

Navajo commonly make a brush Arbor which is just a pole structure with any kind of brush tied to the top of it keep out the sunshine. rain isn't much of a problem in these parts.
About 15 years ago a local lad leased an old government building that had gone into private hands and opened a craft shop but he needed a little more income and decided to build a brush arbor in the front and serve snacks under it. He got a few truckloads of palm fronds from a tree trimming company in Tucson for the covering and when he got it done it looked like 1,000,000 bucks.
Problem was he had built it on public property and nobody bothered to mention it until he had it completed with tables underneath it. They told him he had to tear it back down and he told them what they could kiss handed the keys back to the landlord and vacated the the property and the town.... Joe
