Just who taught those dogs to operate the safety on them guns ? Also what idiot lets their dog sit, or stand on their gun ? I just wonder how some people have lived as long as they have.

Hey, it's like I've said about dog training.... Step #1) You gotta be smarter than the dog. I can picture my dad reading that and shaking his head. He hunted with bird dogs and deer hounds and I used to watch him train them. But MY training was with gun safety, the dogs weren't responsible for THAT. And if you were dumber than the dogs, then you were SOL. lol

Just read this morning that Oregon lawmakers are considering paying $1,000 a month payment to homeless and qualifying low income people. That ought to bring in more votes for the DemonRats…not that they need them with mail-in voting.
So glad I’m no longer a resident.

wildhorseluvr, after living Oregon a place I loved but the change...I have no desire to return. More than one way that changed for the worse.

wildhorseluvr , after living Oregon a place I loved but the change...I have no desire to return. More than one way that changed for the worse. I really love the right half of Oregon too, but such a drastic change…just couldn’t stay. As time goes on I’m learning that so many friends and acquaintances from my former town have left…with more still leaving. I have 2 DDs and dSils who plan on moving to ID too…one hopefully this year, the other maybe in 2-3 yrs depending on her DH’s job situation. Amazing how every place run by Dems ends up ruined with people bailing out because it’s unlivable anymore. ☹️

I haven't met them yet, but some folks who bought a place about a half mile from us are moving here from Colorado. It seems about 15 years ago the left California because it had gotten so nuts, and now they're leaving Colorado as the nuts from California followed them there. Apparently they did their research and found the Ozarks haven't been spoiled by blue state immigrants, yet.
I've probably mentioned before, that in our last election there wasn't one democrat on the County ballot.

In talking with folks around here, who I've told of all the placed I've lived, MN/MS/TX/NC/KS/MO they've asked how we ended up here. My standard answer is "Through a series of good decisions". But that's not entirely true, it was pretty much good luck. My job in North Carolina had pretty much played out, just as I'd predicted before I took it, and we moved to St Louis as the national sales rep for that company since St Louis was central to prospective distributors. I got disenchanted with the company's product's quality, and resigned. Sweet Bride's WC company had an opening in Springfield, and since we didn't like St Louis we jumped at moving to the Ozarks.
We rented a house while looking for a permanent place, and spent months looking for just the "right" place. We found this place, a bank repo, with bunches of things that would sent other people still looking - frozen/broken pipes in the walls, a well house nearly falling down with all the pipes burst, the garage door hanging lopsided in the frame, the dishwasher stolen along with the fireplace mantle. It was perfect! Nothing I couldn't fix, so we offered $30,000 under bank asking price, and they jumped on it.
The people in the Ozarks are welcoming. Not long after we'd moved in we came home one day and found a big basket of garden fresh vegetables, no note, they were just there. Found out later they were from a lifelong farmer near here. He, his brother, and his entire extended family have become close friends. You know you have friends when you can't remember who owes who a favor.
We've been here, including Springfield, for over 24 years and love both the area and the people. We're home.

It seems corruption & sleeziness are the requirements if 'diversity' doesn't get it.
