I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm some kind of tech guru, yes, I did set up this forum, but it took me three days.
Anyway, I'll explain here how I put pictures/memes up here using my desktop Windows 7 system. I should tell you right now, there are probably a dozen other ways to do this, and I hope those more tech savvy than I can add their input.
When I find a picture/meme somewhere I right click on it and hit "save as". Then I label it in my documents. I probably have a thousand documents by now.
When I want to post hit here, I got to the "quick reply" box as if I'm posting a comment, and then in the upper right corner of that "quick reply" box I hit "reply".
That gives me another screen that includes "add attachments". I click on that, and choose "documents". I'm assuming I could click on pictures and find baby animal pictures or such, but I've never tried doing that.
When I'm in my documents, I double click on the picture/meme I've stored there, and it will start loading into the ProBoard system. Sometimes it takes a while, so wait until the prompt says "insert". Click on "insert" and the picture/meme will appear in your post.
Now then, oversized pictures. I've run into this a number of times when trying to post baby animal pictures I've taken with my digital camera. The limit for ProBoards is 1mb, whatever that is. Anyway, when my picture is too big, I right click on it and see a menu. I click on "open with", and choose "Paintbrush".
The picture will appear there, and in the top left you'll see an option to "resize". Depending on the size of the picture you may have to do this a couple times, but I generally type in 50, which means diminish the photo by 50%. It will change on your screen, but you're not done. Hit the "close X" top right, and it will ask you if you want to save your changes, click yes. That should have reduced the picture/meme in your documents to where when you double-click on it it will be accepted by Proboards system.
I've got a hunch Windows 10 probably works very similarly, but I've put off using a new system as long as I can.
Hope this helps.
