In winter I usually have a line of projects to do before spring. I'm gathering up parts and odds&ends I need to fix the things that fixing.
I've got to replace the cables on the tiller handle. Got to replace a leaking seal down on one drive shaft. I've got a trimmer that needs a carb replaced. I've got to replace a disc blade on some hippers and replace the bearings on one side. I have a brush hog that sure could use some rust removal and paint. I've got to change out some filters on the tractor and probably replace the hydraulic fluid. I've got to change out the switch on my bandsaw...Speaking of that, I need to look at the switch on my sawsall. And...
Around the place, it never ends.

My most pressing project is spray painting the decks now that the bare spots are primed. Looks like the best time for that will be next Wednesday, low 70's and dry. Our handyman disappeared on us again, so some time in the near future I'll muck out the barn. Today we'll pull the rest of the garden and haul it to the burn pile. The burn pile is pretty good sized, and usually I'd have lit it off my now, but there's flower that sprouted from last year's seeds that are really pretty and I hate to torch them. Maybe next week.

When you are a homeowner, the work never ends.
My daughter is in a hurry for us to get moved in so that I can start handling all of the maintenance and repairs there. I've already done several thing there while visiting.
More than anything, she needs to get her children who no longer live there to get off of the rear ends and remove all of the stuff they have stored there so that there is room for us to move in.

Your daughter is blessed to have a handyman around! BTDT with kids using your place for free storage. Put a stop to it quickly with a couple of my kids, but DH had a son who left a large amount of stuff (large appliances, etc) in our barn for 7 yrs, finally came and picked up a couple items and told us we could go ahead and get rid of the rest. ☹️ A lot of heavy work, plus landfill fees plus something like $25 for each appliance we disposed of. Then his brother left a car and engine for 5 yrs. I finally said if it wasn’t gone by the next weekend, it was going to the dump (some sort of vintage sports car). He moved it the next weekend, LOL. Then I gave everyone notice that storage fees were $100 or something per month. I figure if it’s not worth paying storage fees, then it’s not worth keeping. No more family wanted to store stuff at our place after that for some reason. 🤷🏻♀️

Maybe I should suggest that to my daughter.
