Multiple Department of Defense officials spoke to Politico regarding what is being viewed as right-wing attacks and conspiracy theories against the pop star and her beau on the Kansas City Chiefs. Having Solved All Other World Problems, The Pentagon Has Thoughts About Taylor Swift While most of us are simply annoyed with the manufactured media coverage coordinated by the NFL and Taylor Swift, some on the right have suggested there is a greater motive at play here. Just like we’re annoyed that the Super Bowl halftime shows feature crappy professional lip-syncers as opposed to, you know, Metallica or AC/DC. And we get it, it’s to draw in younger womenfolk. But it’s still garbage. more at link

Haven't watched a football game, or any other professional sport in more years than I can remember.

BUT WHAT IF it is what it is. It's a football game. It's a boy and a girl who are dating.
What if it's a championship game and everyone talks about it? And what if that has happened the last 58 years, and will happen for the next 58 years?
This years half time show appealed to an entire generation: The Millennial's. Like a WHOLE generation.
Personally, I think it was the 2nd best half time show. I made 3 millennial's, so all of this music was very familiar.

My DH has not watched ANY sport for 2 years (so neither have I as we spend little enough time together to choose sports over him).I have missed football as I love a good game like last night where it is exciting to see the very talented duke it out without the nastiness of most games. The game was great; 2 well matched teams the commercials mediocre except for Bud "Old School Delivery" BMW ( ? crazy good) with Christopher Walken ("Talken like Walken") State Farm with Schwartzenegger and Danny Divitto and most surprising, NFL "Born to Play" 2. Mostly love football and basketball when played well. We were in Chicago for the 1985 Superbowl run and win and the Bulls with Michael Jordan just starting his run and the best team ever. Got to meet the whole Bulls team & both Jordan's parents and almost all of the 1985 Superbowl team and Magic and the Bird and so many other great athletes at a charity function where we were "SEAT FILLERS" got to go because I had a formal dress and DH owns a tux and we lived 10 minutes away from the venue-- last minute big wig cancellations from DH's job for the 1st ever STARLIGHT FOUNDATION CHARITY DINNER and DH's table would have been the only one with empty seats. But the "wokeness" of the NFL and NBA has left us with no alternative but to quit watching. But with my DH a past big guy in Marketing and now a DD doing the same for ZOOM, we decided we would not be corrupted by one game. WHAT A GREAT GAME! Neither teams are 'ours' from WI or IL
