www.libertystorch.info/2024/02/05/the-proposed-border-fix/It’s BAD – REALLY BAD. The reason – the ONLY reason this is being put forth now – is because even the dip$hit idiots in Washington can see that there is a good chance that Trump will be the next President. This is meant to lock him out of options for dealing with the border. more at link Related link: www.breitbart.com/2024-election/2024/02/04/senate-releases-establishments-migration-bill/Senate Releases Establishment’s Migration Bill The Senate has released its long-awaited “border” bill that reportedly increases the inflow of legalized immigrants into Americans’ communities, workplaces, and schools. Titled ‘‘Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024’,” the 370-page bill was released at 6:40 p.m. on Sunday. It is accompanied by a multi-billion dollar appropriations bill intended to fund the resources needed to register, release, transport, and house migrants in Americans’ coastal cities and inland communities. more at link

At least the leak was wrong about allowing 5,000 per day in. Nope, it's 8,500 per day.
How many times have we heard promises from the democrats that they immediately ignore? Remember when President Reagan got hornswoggled into giving what he was told would be 300,000 green cards that turned out to be 3 million, with the promise the democrats would strictly enforce the border laws in exchange? Yeah, that never happened either.

I can't wait for the deluge of Dims claiming the "Rs" don't want border security b/c they aren't voting for this travesty. Will there be any news outlet-other than FOX & Newsmax that will tell the masses?

You have to wonder if this monstrosity isn't a purposeful trap. It gives the corrupt democrats a talking point during an election year. "My opponent doesn't want to close the border, he refused to vote for a bill that would have done that". Of course his low-information base will eat it up. Which also explains McConnell's support, he enjoys being the "loyal opposition" (heavy on the loyal part) and isn't really interested in gaining a republican Senate.
Every republican running for office this year should quote the words from the Constitution showing the President already has the power to close the border, at the top of every campaign flyer.

thefederalist.com/2024/02/05/65-times-biden-gutted-border-security-since-taking-the-white-house/65 Times Biden Gutted Border Security Since Taking The White House President Joe Biden is eager to sign the Senate border deal giving a congressional stamp of approval for an open border. President Joe Biden says he is eager to sign a Senate bill ostensibly designed to “shut down the border right now.” The latest deficit spending deal Senate lawmakers unveiled Sunday, however, does anything but “shut down” the southern U.S. border. The proposed $118 billion bill offers more than $60 billion for Kyiv, more than $14 billion for Israel, and $10 billion for aid in Gaza, the West Bank, and Ukraine. Just roughly $20 billion set aside in the 370-page “Emergency National Security Supplemental” bill is set aside for the U.S. border. With provisions allowing more than 5,000 crossings per day and unchecked asylum for all, as well as multiple opportunities for the president to waive the law’s provisions, it makes sense that Biden, whose presidency has been defined by open border turmoil, is eager to sign “immediately.” “I’m ready to secure the border,” the president said in a Sunday statement. The statement comes after his border policies have allowed an estimated 1.7 million known “gotaways” to come into the United States unvetted, according to the House Judiciary Committee. In January, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana published a document highlighting 64 times besides supporting this disastrous “border deal” that the president has “Intentionally Undermined Border Security.” “Since his first day in office, President Biden and his administration have worked to systematically undermine America’s border security,” Johnson said. “On more than 60 occasions, he has manipulated the federal bureaucracy to open our borders to illegal immigrants, human trafficking, fentanyl, and potential terrorists. The result is a humanitarian and national security catastrophe.” Below are the other 64 infractions cited against the president. The first six are on Biden’s first day in office. more at link

tldavis.substack.com/p/the-bill-that-killed-the-rino?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=700076&post_id=141448150&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=28l5i4&utm_medium=emailThe Bill That Killed The Rino I wrote the preceding mea culpa to get back to the serious business of the border. While I respect the value of signaling the support for any given movement within the United States and using that as a means of getting people to realize the power they have within themselves, nothing is “solved” by demonstrations or rallies. That’s not their purpose. As corrupt as our politics are in the age of George Soros, the UN and the federal reserve the power of exerting one’s voice with representatives still works. Exhibit A is the Border Security Bill negotiated and raised by Senate Republicans. This was a disaster, but the text was hidden by those negotiating it with the idea of springing it unread on the Senate and forcing a vote before they had a chance to digest it, because it seemed like a good bill. Without being too overly cynical, I know that one senator does not swing the vote, nor are Republicans necessarily interested in the views of those they represent. I know that politics in America are largely sorted out at the top levels and we’re all left out of the dialog. Donors of one sort or another hold all the power. All of those things can be true and still arrive at a groundswell of anger and frustration that kills a bill so disastrous that not even the sponsor nor McConnell may ultimately vote for it. That’s what has happened since staffers leaked the text to a couple of friendly reporters that brought it to the wider attention of people like Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson and Dan Bongino. Lost in the discussion was all of the MSM, who are laying people off at a record rate. There’s a new media and it isn’t communist. That’s what this really says. The number one issue in America today is the open border. Despite three solid years of reporting on it, as Michael Yon and Ben Bergquam have, the wide-open and NGO organized invasion of the southern border remains. It has slowly climbed up the ladder of important issues from their reporting and larger outlets featuring them on-air. The power game used to push this phony border bill was simply this: use the importance of the issue to do the bidding of donors and the Chamber of Commerce to bring in millions of low-wage workers and to codify it into law. Left unsaid and unaddressed by this tactic was the enormous amount of terrorists and criminals that have used their objectives to their own purposes. That’s what the majority of our elected Republican senators sought to do. Pretending that the border bill would solve the porous border, they wanted to use it as a lever to get the people of America to sign away their sovereignty with a promise. A congressional promise with all of the value that suggests. more at link
