Yeah, it takes all kinds of people to make up this world and I'll be the first to say, I don't care for most of them. lol And I get the main focus of the article was on the Austrian case and their courts but that's their problem. I wish them luck in dealing with it. If they truly want help, I know just the guy to ask. I did take issue with the opening paragraph though, highly critical and equating the Texas woman who wanted an abortion as being the same thing and I don't think it was. Her child had more than just Down's syndrome and I'd never want to be a parent faced with that decision. It was hard enough handling the few loved ones last moments and I was sure glad God shouldered most of the burden for me. From the link.

The problem is that there have been numerous cases where their 'tests' came up with the wrong results. The other problem I see is that a baby is a baby and abortion at any time for any reason is MURDER. They are still killing a baby.

As I said I wouldn't want to be in her shoes and can't/won't judge her. For the sake of argument what if the docs are right? If she dies in childbirth and the baby a week later, would you tell the husband he was better off afterwards? Just my 2 cents.

No, I wouldn't tell the father he was better off afterwards. Who would be so stupid to tell him that? Because he isn't better off - not without his wife nor his baby. But he would know HE didn't kill his own child and neither did his wife.
Did that case in Texas say the woman would die if she gave birth? SHE said she feared for her own health and safety. And no one knows how long the baby would live. Doctors seem to think they are gods but they aren't.

It's one of those things between her and her doctor, her and God, etc. Unless someone HAS been in a situation where a loved one's life is literally in your hands, there isn't a course you can take that can prepare you for it. That much I already learned many years ago.

That lawsuit should go NOPLACE until and unless they try and fail to place the child with adoptive parents at the very least, and the doctor should insist....Joe
