She's bad: www.forbes.com/health/medicare/irmaa-for-medicare/One of the things that can trigger IRMAA, that a lot of folks don't see coming...Because of taxes and RMD's, some people will elect to take money out of 401K's and IRA's to place in Roth accounts. Since that's pre-tax money, it is taxed as earned income in the year of withdrawal. That can put you over the income threshold level for IRMAA.

I received an inheritance from my late FiL. I can now look forward to a nice tax bill with a penalty included for my 2023 taxes. And next year the lovely penalty to my medicare part b and part d payments.
