I don't know there's a better "old" tractor than the Ford 8n. They stopped making them in '52, but parts are still readily available, and there aren't any tricks to repairing it if you have just a little mechanical ability.
My 8n had its motor rebuilt just before I bought, and I put a new clutch/throw out bearing/pressure plate in shortly after that. A little under-powered, but it'll pull a two bottom plow in unbroken ground with almost no effort, and drag a 5' box blade full of gravel just fine. I'd imagine if I wanted to sell it with all the implements I could get around $3,000, which is about what I paid for it 15 years ago. I just wish it had an FEL, but nothing is perfect.

I just gave away a 5' rock rake that I've only used once since it was given to me 10 years ago. The guy was ecstatic, said new it would have cost $1,400!
I've got a 5' box blade, a 5' grading blade, and two-bottom plow, a spring harrow, a draw bar, and a spike harrow. Of course, there was no such thing as "quick-hitch" back then, so it's a bit of a pain to change implements, but I mainly just use it for grading the driveway since a neighbor has taken over upkeep of the 1 1/2 mile gravel road. It only took him a year to figure out to put an angle on the box blade to keep the crown on the road, but hey, who am I to give road maintenance lessons to a guy who knows everything about everything?

fixitguy, Thanks! That'll save a lot of back pain trying to hook those implements up.
