Has anyone used these? Share the good, bad and the ugly, please. How well they work, any issues like gunk buildup in your washer, or price comparisons.
I stay stocked up on laundry detergent and those big bottles are bulky and HEAVY. For the last year I’ve been using the dishwasher pods and decided I like them. So got to thinking about the laundry pods which would take up less space and weigh much less.
Then I got to looking at the laundry sheets…they take up a fraction of the space and weigh next to nothing. They also outlast pods and liquid detergents…shelf life is at least 2-3 yrs! More expensive but if they work would be well worth it to me.

I use the Gain Pods, as far as price they’re the same as the liquid. When you say “sheets” you mean the dryer sheets? I use to use them, but really no need for me. I’ve never seen washing sheets.
If you don’t like your laundry to have an aroma, then Gain isn’t for you. If you decide to try the Pods I’d go with Arm & Hammer, which usually, from my experience has no smell to it. Oh, no gunk build up and I’ve been using them about 7 years.
Happy laundry shopping!

Thanks, as that’s what I’m most interested in. Might not be cost effective for a family but for 1 person the price difference would be negligible.

Oh, no gunk build up and I’ve been using them about 7 years. Happy laundry shopping! Thanks, Woody. As BrewDaddy said, these are like dryer sheets but with laundry detergent rather than dryer softener. Glad to hear the pods don’t build up gunk in the machine. My current liquid detergents aren’t a problem but I use a tiny amount of liquid softener (Dollar Tree brand) in my wash. It’s always worked well but suddenly is building up tons of gunk in my machine.😡 I’m guessing they changed the formula. So looking for a replacement there as well. I can’t use Gain, Tide, etc., but Tide now has a fragrance free version. When I was researching the pods, Arm and Hammer got a really poor rating. I’ve read the sheets dissolve really well even in cold water and just one sheet for an average size load. There’s a greenie brand (Sunday something or other) that has excellent rating across the board. I think they only sell online but it sounds doable. It’s a subscription but you can change the amounts with a phone call if you decide you need more/less. No matter what the online reviews say, I’d always rather hear from people I know who’ve actually used the products.

As I wrote, I never heard of those washing sheets. I’ll need to check and see if I can find them & compare pricing. Do tell if you get them how well they work. Id rather carry light things. I’m only picking up light groceries since my shoulder replacement & have to get the rest delivered. The delivery charge is bothering me and then there’s the tip.😳

I do still tip when I use this service.

Thanks for that farmgirl, but I don’t shop at all at Walmart & don’t belong to their club, too far away from where I live. Hopefully my shoulder will get stronger soon and I’ll be back to doing my own shopping, ugh.

For those of you that use these sheets. I read an amazon review, and the Arm & Hammer brand is made in China? Can someone confirm it.

For those of you that use these sheets. I read an amazon review, and the Arm & Hammer brand is made in China? Can someone confirm it. Haven’t tried the sheets yet, still doing research. From what I’m able to determine, Arm and Hammer is made in China. Of equal concern to me is that despite claims to the contrary (“100% plastic free”), apparently all brands of laundry sheets do contain some PVA. 🤷🏻♀️ So the jugs of liquid detergent are made of plastic, plus being heavy/bulky. So what is a person supposed to use? Powders don’t work at all for me (and are heavy/bulky), homemade soaps don’t work in hard water plus they are heavy/bulky and I don’t need to create more work for myself. This is what discourages me from trying to go with environmentally friendly products. You waste hours or days researching only to find out the manufacturers lie and all the products are crap. Well, at least some of the detergent sheets seem to live up to their claims…but are not PVA free. It’s like trying to stay away from made in China products…I try but it’s impossible. I just do the best I can.

Laundry soap from China is a deal breaker for me. I don't want to wash my clothes with a possible mystery chemical. (Remember the China sheet rock, people had to tear their homes apart) also, food from china, nope, nope, nope. You would be surprised to see how much dollar store cheap food and candy comes from China.

Not really. 😆 I’m scared of China food, including dog food. Besides the China sheet rock there was the China dogfood with melamine. The dog food I buy isn’t perfect but is good quality, made in the US and has only had one recall. Totally burns my butt that most of our meds are made in China. Why trust our lives to our enemy? (Yeah, I know…profits, and our government would probably be glad to see most Americans die off, especially anyone of retirement age.)
