Well I got a bunch of painting to do I got one those HVLP spray guns . Thing is I have poor vision I can see when the metal starts to shine and keep on moving . Question does anyone have a better suggestion or method ? It is nearing show time ,this is base\ clear . Light metallic at that .
This job has got out of hand so far I bet i'm approaching the thousand buck mark to date. Good thing I been stocking up on body shop supplies for a long while .

Don't have that problem, yet, but it's been my experience when the metal starts shining you're real close to getting runs in it. I've always done multiple light coats, figuring anything I might have been light on the first time I'd catch it with the second. Sometimes alternating left/right with up/down covers well too.

Well today I did three medium light coats ,turned out pretty good . Now to retape and do the other color . Those two tone F250 are a chore on repainting. It is a 1989 with 156 thousand miles with the 7.3 Diesel in it . Everything including the cruise control still works like new.
Been researching this painting thing a while now . One guy on autobody 101 had it right on spraying Nason paint ,he said kick the pressure up and let it go.
