@pony, I will pray for you, try not to be too stressed about the results. Stress is really hard on the immune system. Hugs to you!

Been there, done that. But tests never were that clear so it was always a matter of interpretation.
Just a word of caution. Sometimes a diagnosis, especially of the 'eliminated everything else kind' can be an excuse for ceasing to investigate further. Every problem is shoved into the catagory of the nebulous diagnosis. And immune conditions are usually indefinite enough to cover a wide range of symptoms.

I was there for four hours on Wednesday, and he spent a good 90 minutes of it with me. He called back quickly today when I phoned with concern over a new cough/sinus issues. We'll have to wait and see. I only hope the tests are definitive, b/c I am so so so tired of not knowing what is wrong. Afraid of what they'll find, afraid they won't find a blasted thing...

Did you ever get any closure on this?
My 24 year old son has been to 8 or 9 doctors now, in the last 14 months.
Still trying to find the root of his symptoms.
They did find some hormonal stuff, but the "cure" so far has been worse than the disease!
Hope you find answers and relief.
Tim

I really wonder sometimes about all of these "immune system" failures. My oldest son was allergic to cow's milk and soy milk. I breastfed him, out of desperation, until he was 3. His Dad was also extremely allergic to cow's milk. He was never breastfed, he had formula until he was 6 months old, then transitioned to solid food. My oldest has very rarely been sick-we can all be at death's door, and he is cheerfully healthy. I sometimes think about what his life would be like, if I hadn't nursed him. I wonder if the changes to our food and medicine play a part.

tarbe, yes and no. My immune system is low in some areas. I agreed to have a pneumonia vaccine. When I can do the copays again, I'll go back to see the immunologist to see what is next. themotherhen,I do not at all doubt that the new arrangements of chemicals in our "food" and "medicine" play an enormous part in the various ailments and immune system wonkiness we are seeing. Still haven't figured out how to repair any damage, but doing my best to eat as clean as I can, trusting God to do what He will do to heal me.

How can we best pray for him?

How can we best pray for him? Sorry, never saw this until now! My primary prayer for my son remains that God would, in His infinite mercy, awaken my son's heart to the truth of His Gospel! Everything else is moot without that!! Hope you are doing well these days! Tim
