On the NC Dept of Revenue site, LOL what fun! Saw this aution tab and looked. I never thought of auctions for this purpose. It is sad, but anyhow.. Here is an example of a pet store. There would be many useful things for us here. Shavings, kennels, carriers, pet nutrients, maybe even the fish aquarium heater I bought that I use to keep chicken water bucket from freezing. Have you ever participated in one of these? I can't find any prequal info except that payment must be cash, cert check, money order, etc. www.dor.state.nc.us/auction/4-27-16_2/photos.html

Yes, a pallet of 3 year old computers....10 dollars
Complete work out room from a fire station. 7 dollars
A kenai park and rec f 250 4 year old truck 3,300 ....needed a new starter.
We go most September as a group
I got the gym.... use the weight for marketing cheese, holding tarps. Sold the rest on Craig's list bit by bit.
6000 feet used but rolled up nice and in great shape...12 dollars ...per roll was the highest bid. That was a weird one as the winner claimed all she wanted at that price and then the next highest claimed what she want at her price. The third highest took every roll. I was the fifth highest.

Ooooo a 4 yr old f250 for 3300, sweet!
So did yours do a deal where you walk around, decide what you are willing to give, drop it in, and then later they tell you who submitted the highest? Silent auction? Or is it a vocal thing with active bidding?
I am curious and will have to find out what bid method NC uses at these things. Might go sometime.

............I signed up with this auction site ! They show municipal auctions and their dates all over texas and other states as well , not sure just how many states they cover . .............I have a 12 foot long x 6 foot wide , heavy duty trailer that I haven't been using , so , I thought I might bid on some items from some of these auctions relatively close by , and see if I can sell these items and make a little extra money . I , may end up selling my trailer and purchasing a 20 footer that I can haul a vehicle on should I come across one in decent shape at a good price . This activity is all new to me so I need to be very judicious with my bids and not make any big mistakes . , fordy

peninsulaclarion.com/stories/092107/news_3237.shtml#.VxGMkmCIZSAThursday and Friday is preview. There is a guide printed weeks in advance. The best deal a complete whole system loaded on...two flat beds and a trailer for.... a generator that was for the airport ...opening request bid...30,000dollars...Sold for 3,000 dollars for a private gold mine operator..no one else bidder. But everyone waited all day to watch and see. As for the truck a friend buys a few every year as he found that many of the rigs that are not operating just need stupid things claims. During preview he bring his mechanic to look over all the rules vs and the what charolds picks fred buys. Fred had gotten more than one rig. Check they have had four wheelers and snow machines but when fred ran for mayor he said he'd gut the whole borough owned and operated mechanical repair shop and put Harold in charge. One just needed a battery and it ran. Ok so some of them are the awful yellow but they are very useful.
