Whoopee! After just 3 months I'll be able to afford a haircut. An't that the way of things get a big raise and blow in on a hair cut. With my low amount I might just be able to afford to oil my clippers .

Note, my position is ALL fed government employees who receive income from the taxpayers only can receive increases equal to that rate.
No exception.
I would hope that states followed suit with all of their employees.
Firefighters, teachers, and state senators and legators.
It would be a step to shrinking the growth in government debt.
Priviate businesses wage and wage increases set by the owner and vounterrly agreed or rejected by the employee.

I think it would be really nice if things went back to how the founders envisioned Congress to be-a bunch of elected public servants that had actual jobs that they worked for most of the year, until it was time for Congress to be in session. Not the modern day gravy train that we have now. It is truly absurd-these people get into office and become millionaires from lobbyist money. It is absolutely disgusting that our public servants aren't in it for us and our ideas. No, they are there for the $$$$$, the power, and to serve the globalists. Much was made of the fact that Bernie Sanders was the poorest congressman when running in the primary. I actually respected that about him, because of the fact that he didn't sell out to lobbyists. I would never have voted for his socialist policies, but I respected him for standing by his principles. I was so disapointed in him personally when he dropped out and went on to purchase that multimillion dollar home. He sold out, and that is always sad to see. It is past time to get the money out of politics, and return to the arena of ideals. That is when America shines her light.

Stop referring to your public servants by titles of nobility.. ...like senator, congressman, ect. I refer to peter miccicche as
Peter miccicche my state senatorial rep Public servant.
Murkowski I hope to just call her my former public servant.
Look at our founding documents....we were warned of title of nobility..... Ego and power that separate us from our servants where the table is turned and we....the holders of the true power do the budding of the elected.
Can't you just wait for Donald Trump to be you public servant?

I had an old friend who passed a few years ago, born in Poland and had been a (his word) "wetback" all over the world before selecting the USA as his home for life.
His theory for compensating congress critters and most other politicos was to pay them something like 200% of the yearly wages earned by the average worker in their districts.
Twice the anual average compensation, for their home district, wages going up and down along with those of the folks back home. Speech fees and other forms of bribery to be deducted from wages.
A real motivator and remider of who they worked for....Joe
