So far, expressing yourself in this country in strong terms won't send a SWAT team to your door, but apparently that isn't the case in Germany. Of course, the UK and several other countries judicially stifle contrary views too. It's sad to see a world where saying "hey, wait a minute, that's wrong" gets you a visit from the authorities. If they were openly conspiring to do violence, ok, but expressing an opinion in strong terms should be everyone's right.
BERLIN (AP) -- Berlin police say they've raided 10 buildings in the German capital as part of a crackdown on far-right hate speech on social media networks.
Police said Thursday that the morning raids involved 60 officers, who confiscated smartphones and computers as evidence, which are now being evaluated. They didn't have any immediate information on arrests.

Didn't some just post an article about the Mizzou campus police and the University seeking out students to expell in just that fashion? Report hate speech and we'll get 'em?

Over on this side of the pond, we've ALWAYS been a bit slower than our European, Asian and African counterparts, in suppressing basic human rights.
Like ....say "free" speech....Just remember this: It ain't free; some vet paid dearly for it.
(Notice I had nothing to say about the Aussies....no one can understand their speech anyway!)
But give it time folks....just give it a bit more time. And they'll be knocking on our doors too.
Or more likely, just kick them in. Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

I believe Obama has already called for an Amendment restricting free speech. Not that he has any respect for Amendments, look what he's trying to do to the 2nd. It will be an interesting 14mos seeing what can be destroyed or limited in that time by this admin.

Multiple students are in support of limiting "hurtful speech" because it "triggers" them. They actually don't support the 1st Amendment. When the fecal matter hits the oscillating device, there are going to be lots of puddles from all those special snowflakes.
