INFRINGED!" What part of THIS, do they not understand?!!! This man did nothing to forfeit his God-given rights; and broke no law, except for a little technicality that the Texas Legislatures put into the penal code, requiring a CCW holder to announce to any law enforcement officer who lawfully stops & contacts such, to reveal this information immediately - or face arrest, fines and imprisonment. This isn't what the 2nd amendment says and it certainly isn't what we fought for to defend ourselves from such tyranny. It has to stop....and stop NOW~ T EXAS WAKE UP AND JOIN THE REST OF THE COUNTRY IN TAKING BACK YOUR BIRTHRIGHTS !
ONE MIGHT START TO BELIEVE, THAT THIS KIND OF THINKING GOES LOCK-STEP
WITH THOSE GUN-FEARING LIBERALS WHO ARE RUNNING CHICAGO & NY CITY INTO THE TOILET!!! www.foxnews.com/us/2015/11/21/texas-motorist-says-officer-query-about-legal-firearm-leads-to-arrest/It certainly does nothing but take away from what was the true devotion of the founding fathers of that fine republic. They didn't just give in to Santa Anna's demands when he orderd them to lay down their arms and surrender the Alamo. IT was THAT kind of thinking which had already killed the defenders at Goliad. Will it take another San Jacinto to make them 'remember'?

From the article: The station reported that an internal investigation concluded the officer who pulled Gonzalez over followed all proper procedures.
It also reported that the officer had resigned and was no longer on the force.
That's sort of contradictory, it seems the department is covering it's butt, while at the same time saying to the cop "you idiot, just because he's legally carrying a gun, you get your shorts in a wad". He won't be without a job for long though, he'll fit right in at the TSA.

I'd noticed that part also Tom and here's my take on it. The department may or may not be sued over this.
I'm sure that their legal has been all over the incident with a fine-toothed comb and then the recommendations
came down on how to handle this for the least potential liability. And this is what they came up with.
While maintaining that the officer...correction, ex-officer, had done everything by the book, they also,
more than likely "strongly suggested" that he resign, so as to hopefully give the department the appearance
that he was no longer employed with them and thus it really wasn't their fault in what went down or transpired.
To which of course I want to scream "Bovine Excrement!" The key to deciphering what is being hidden, is in the
statement: "the officer followed all proper procedures." Notice the missing but implied word "law" .... procedures
were followed, as in following what the Texas penal code describes how a CCW holder who is pulled over MUST
immediately comply with; by stating verbally, that they are carrying. Because even though it is the "law" in TEXAS,
they know that under closer scrutiny, that the greater law of the land supercedes it.
"THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP & BEAR ARMS, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED."
It just doesn't get any clearer than that and for the life of me, I have often wondered why we the people, from whence all other governmental powers
are supposed to be subject to, have not stood up to this usurpation, and challenged it and reclaimed the "right" once more. Perhaps someone has,
although I doubt it, or what is more than likely, is that the higher courts have been transgress as well, in which case, it's long past time to clean
slate and start again with those who will uphold the oath they were sworn to uphold. I hope and pray, that Mr. Gonzalez and others like him,
will be the ones to try to get us back on track and file both a legal and civil suit against both the department of the city Rosenburg, Tx.,
as well as the ex-officer and all others involved. Should he prevail, it will send a clear and decisive message to every other law
enforcement agency across the great state of Texas and the rest of the nation as well.
But he'd better hurry and make his decision soon. The statutes of limitations for the unlawful arrest being challenged,
is rapidly approaching and once past, will have to await someone else coming along and having their life rudely
interrupted because the state decided what they could do with infringing on the 2nd Amendment.
