This one Youtuber I follow released a new book that I'm thinking about getting. From Here to EternityShe has a very vast knowledge of the dead and discusses very interesting things, like, The Trial of The Corpse Pope Oh, and I really like her Iconic Corpse series: Eva Peron She also covers Rosalie Lombardo, Vladimir Lenin, and Lady DaiWhat do you guys think? Should I break down and buy her new book?

Certainly sounds fascinating and, in my experience, addresses that problem our culture has with death.
I may break down and buy it, too.

If you're a read it and pass it on kind of person then that'd be cool. I'm a bit of a book horder, at least with nonfiction, I like to refer back to things I've read.

There are books I like to hang on to, and there are books I like to pass along. I have to do more of the latter, though, because I read a lot. A LOT. As in, we have a $200 credit at the used book store, because every six months or so, we weed out books and run the boxes of books over to the store. Please, let me share the book with you.

My sister and I have to weed out books every now and again. I can't part with my nonfiction. I should brag and show it to you sometime When we do get rid of books, we like to use Bookmooch.com. I'd rather we gave them to the used book store and got credit for it, but we have no used book store around us. How Bookmooch works is if we want to get rid of a book, we put it in our inventory. If someone wants the book then they request that we send it. We have to pay the shipping to send it, but we get 1 point in return which we can 'spend' on any book we want. Unfortunately they don't usually have the books that I want. Let me double check with Dad that it's okay to give our address. If it's cool with him, you'll get a PM.

Yes, I've read about Pope Stephen VI's infamous Cadaver Synod of 897 several times over the years, the first being through a book owned by my mother. You might find this interesting: 5 Prominent People Put On Trial After Their DeathThree of them were exhumed and "punished" (John Wycliffe, St Thomas à Becket, and, of course, Pope Formosus). Oh, I also recommend this site, if any of you have not yet discovered it. Atlas Obscura: www.atlasobscura.com/
They also have a daily email newsletter to which I have been subscribed for some time. I wish I had more time to explore it all.

@toni , You don't have to worry about Pony, she's a licensed Psychopath Psychologist. The terms are not necessarily mutually exclusive. BWAHahahahahaha! ( oh, and though technically I am a psychologist, as in "one who studies the mind," legally I am a psychotherapist, and my license is LCSW. Had a friend get in trouble for using the term "psychologist" two weeks before she graduated her doctoral program. Some people are so picky....)
