Read “How do you Kill 11 million people”. Calling it a book is stretching it tho. Only around 80 pages maybe. 30 minutes read.
Touches on something I think most of us have wondered. How did the great genocides occur? How did the they get the Jews to go so willing to their deaths? How do a handful of people control the masses?
Simple, they LIE. They tell/told them everything that was happening was for their own protection and they bought it hook, line and sinker.
If you get a chance look it up.
Go down swinging, don’t load up on the cars willingly. Don’t believe the LIE.

I just got it through CBD, actually reading it online.
Gotta love a book that observes, "The past is what is real and true, while history is merely what someone recorded."
So far, so good.

The human psyche refuses to admit other human beings could sink to such depths as to outright murder millions of their fellow beings. What a person doesn't want to believe, they won't. They'll convince themselves it couldn't possibly be true.
In the instance of government aggression, I'd suggest acting like Jim Bowie. When they told his mother he'd been killed at the Alamo with bayonets she said "I'd bet none of the wounds were in his back."

I've been around a lot of folks after they were shot or stabbed, and we were drawing their labs in the ED before surgery. A common denominator among at least 90% of them was the phrase, "I never thought he (she) would do that!".

IMHO, the only person who should ALWAYS be believed is the one threatening you. Then act accordingly. If they were bluffing, not your fault.....Joe

If there's one thing my 13 years in law enforcement convinced me of was that there is no act evil or heinous enough that at some time, someone hasn't done it to another human being...
