Interesting, somewhat similar to the theory that Noah's Ark ended up on Mt Ararat in Turkey, but the Turkish government won't allow exploration.
I've never understood the refusal of muslim countries to allow inspection or verification of biblical sites, they claim heritage to Abraham, which would make a person think they'd want verification of that history.

This is consistent with other things I've seen, here I tracked it down...
They go into detail about the red sea crossing, and what they have found underwater is quite convincing to me.
My daughter has been working on a paper looking to prove that it was the Hyksos that actually held the Israelites captive. The Egyptians under their ruler-ship still oppressed them but it was the Hyksos who were Pharaohs at the time. There are a few clues in the Bible, the first that the rulers didn't know Joseph. That would be like us not knowing who Abraham Lincoln was. To this day there is a water channel in Egypt named after Joseph. The second is the reason they subjected the Israelites to slavery, that was because they were more numerous than the Pharaoh's people. I find it hard to believe in about 2 or 3 generations 75 people would have grown to out number all the Egyptians, but the Hyksos that is possible since they were a small group that had migrated in. Lastly when Moses is trying to free his people, at one point Pharaoh tells him to stay local and sacrifice his rams. Moses has to inform him that such a thing would be sacrilege to the Egyptian religion and the Egyptians would be upset. Egyptians worshiped rams as a symbol of one of their gods. An Egyptian Pharaoh would know this but a foreign pharaoh would not pay close attention the Egyptian religion. She has a whole lot more information from historical sources to back it up. She has been trying to finish it this spring.
Let me just add in this edit, this would explain why there is no record of Israelite slaves in Egyptian records, when the Hyksos were driven out all that pertained to them was destroyed by the Egyptians.
