Put on your tin foil hat.
Does anyone see contrail grids anymore?

Yup, just the other night sitting on the deck we saw several criss-crossing the sky. It's a phenomenom of hot engine gasses exposed to certain temperatures and humidity at altitude.
For those who believe in "chemtrails", I always ask "What air do those pilots and their families breath when they land?"

The just following orders goes far back in history and still is used today . www.gaia.com/article/cloud-seeding-the-confirmed-weather-modification-program

Years ago, we'd see them most every day, the entire sky would be filled with them. I can't think of the last time I've seen them, it's been years.
Having said that, I also notice a huge reduction in air traffic overhead. Prior to 9/11, the traffic was so heavy here it was becoming a noise nuisance. It's never recovered to those levels since, which is odd as Hobby Airport is approx. 25 miles north of here and Bush Intercontinental is just over 50 miles from here.
Oh well, guess I can put the tin foil hat away for now.

................I don't think "air traffic" has done anything but increase significantly ! May be a reduction in contrails is a function of improved engine technology . Production of large aircraft is big time twixt Airbus and Boeing . The new generation of large engines by GE and Pratt\Whitney are many times more efficient than the previous ones . Almost all commercial jet airliners will be twin engine models capable of flying on one engine when necessary ! , fordy

Perhaps they are doing their trailing at night when it is less obvious since more people -not just the foil hat wearers- are wising up.
I do see them and it seems it's always right before a good rain. Just the other morning the sky was rather plaid looking and I thought to myself we should be getting rain soon. Sure enough we got 2" last night.
