I just finished reading most a book by Max Hernandez, Thieves Emporium.
A friend brought over a stack of books for me to read, mostly Ray Bradbury. Unsure why she included this one in the pile, but it proved timely because it provided good, understandable explanations about monetary manipulation.
A few chapters are rather unsettling, so I skipped over the worst of it and got to the end to make sure that I wouldn't be completely despondent if I slogged through all of it.
Good book, recommended for the most part. While I realize the world is a scary, sin-filled horror right now, I didn't feel the need to go through the parts of the book that elucidate that fact.
Still, overall a good read.
