Had a chance to attend a meeting with a couple of different mutual fund managers...A couple of things I took away...1) They're scared to death about China's financial situation. 2) The U.S. is still pulling the world's money like a magnet, as we are seen as the safest place on the planet.
All agreed the next year in the markets will be "turbulent".

Everyone should be concerned about China, their official numbers have been bogus for years. But then, what would you expect from a country who's entire domestic and foreign policy starts with propaganda? If you ignore their pronouncements, and just look at what commodities are being shipped to them, you get a much better picture of how depressed their GDP is.
The wealthy Chinese are worried too. They're buying real estate here like there's a fire sale. That ought to be a good reminder for all of us to put your money in "tangible assets". I just came back in from feeding our sheep, chickens, and rabbits - tangible assets. Now, if the jerk who owns the empty 7 acres next door would only sell to us at an halfway reasonable price, we'd be able to get away from a bank.

Buying real estate in the US gains access to US universities and health care. You would be shocked at the number of Chinese speakers at California hospitals and colleges.

Or not as surprised as you may think, but that's us folks here. The market is looking interesting today. Glad I'm not invested, but concerned about how quickly this will fall down. Thanking God that He is God, and looking to see what He is doing with all this.
