Half Of Americans Believe 9/11 Conspiracy Theories …

“The United States is a strongly conspiratorial society.”  …   A majority of Americans believe that the government is concealing information about the 9/11 attacks, one new survey suggests.  And that’s not the only conspiracy theory believed by a wide swath of Americans: Around 40 percent believe the government is hiding information about aliens, the John F. Kennedy assassination and global warming. – The Huffington Post

Before, those who believed in 9/11 conspiracy theories hovered around 20-30 percent according to the mainstream media. Now it’s up to 50 percent, according to this article.

Hell, it’s probably more like 60-70 percent anyway.

There is perhaps a hard core of 30 percent of people living in the US who will likely never acknowledge anything wrong with the system or people in power.



But for most citizens, we’ve long suggested the current election is destroying the credibility of the ruling classes and their facilities: the "system" in other words.

Whatever in government that was supposed to be credible, from the IRS, to the FBI, to the Justice Dept., Congress and the presidency itself, has been visibly damaged by Hillary’s election campaign.

You’d have to be virtually blind – or a staunch partisan of a mythical “USA” – not to notice that the Democratic front-runner has committed actions for which anyone else would have been significantly punished.

And not just Hillary of course but those surrounding her including Bill Clinton and the Foundation that allows them to trade political favors for cash.

Then there’s the mainstream media. The media has investigated little or none of the malfeasance and worse (murders?) surrounding the Clintons, and thus newspapers, magazines and TV, already deprived of viewers and ad revenue, have been further damaged by an obvious, ongoing lack of credibility.

Conspiracy theories about the JFK assassination abound, and scientists say these ideas have become embedded in the very culture surrounding his death, with heaps of TV shows, books and movies on them.

“We found clear evidence that the United States is a strongly conspiratorial society,” study lead author Christopher Bader, a sociologist at Chapman University in California, said in a statement.

In order to denigrate suspicion of the government, the study suggests that people’s views regarding conspiracies have to do with their own emotional makeup. In other words, “paranoid” people believe in “conspiracies.”

This canard worked better when the number of those voicing conspiracy theories was in the single digits, according to surveys. When half or more than half of the public begins to believe in them, something else is going on.

Neither the article nor the study (presumably) acknowledges that the CIA came up with the idea of calling people “conspiracy theorists” if they advance theories that the US government is corrupt and secretly tyrannical.

The conduct of this past campaign and the Clinton’s evident criminality has reinforced all that is wrong with the US in the views of many and, additionally, has made it clear that even the deepest suspicions of how the US operates are justified.

We can come away with two realizations from this.

The first is that despite Hillary’s possible election, the US as a valid and valuable entity is shattered in the eyes of many. This is actually a good development in our view given that the US (and its British controllers) has not been positive for freedom or peace in the world at least since the end of the Civil War.

The second conclusion, which is not a popular one but which we have voiced before, is that the disaffection of the American public was SUPPOSED to be heightened by the Hillary campaign.

The idea here is that chaos and  paranoia is supposed to be endlessly increased until the US, like other nation-states, virtually shatters and more aggressive globalism can be introduced in the wake of the disintegration.

Western nation-states currently have strong cultures. These cultures need to be torn down if true globalization is to be introduced.

The banking elites of this world, mostly located in the City of London, are determined to introduce this chaos, it seems. In Europe chaos is mounting thanks to the introduction of the artificial “immigration crisis.”

In the US, Hillary has served in the place of immigration, cracking the US culture as thoroughly as millions of young Muslim males. Next on the agenda? Possible economic collapse and “world-war” style military activities.

Conclusion: Yes, it sounds grim … and even conspiratorial. But there is much you can do to secure your safety and prosperity – and that of your family’s and even your community’s. You have to realize the civil society you believe in is vanishing (or never existed). And you have to act.

The above is why I look at conspiracy theories with a jaundiced eye. Percentages sighted with no source. Mixing and tying instances together to make them sound equivalent. Quoting obscure "authorities" with no background. Weasel words like "perhaps", "could", "might" trying to frame a statement into a generally believed fact. Throwing in the CIA to make the argument scarily plausible.

We all know there are bad people doing bad things, but seeing boogeymen coordinating behind every event is a waste of time and energy.

Therein to a degree is the answer ,for the working everyday person ,seeing anything past their personal space is a waste of time to them. Mainly because it is getting past their realm of coping skills not to mention understanding . Most never consider trying to take a real look at the different degrees of lifestyles in the world how or why they work as they do .
Take some of the homeless a good cardboard box is a affordable place to sleep . Next rung up the ladder is a working person making ends meet buying a 1,500 square foot house on the thirty year plan. Both have their own probloms that keep them occupied even from those on the next rung of the ladder . These two groups can some what relate but to step higher on the ladder or even relate to the next level becomes a near impossibility for them. Their education and understanding is locked to a extent to survival at that level .

Then you can even step up one more level that is observable but pretty well out of reach to most . Those are the ones that drive cars with a starting price of 150,000 and up . To them this is just play pretties .

Then you reach those above that group the owners of say the currency printing presses ,everything below them is their play pritties ,a lot like chess pieces to be controlled at will.  Their game is past the understanding of most of those down the ladder. Yes to them is is a game of money and power . With those two ingredients in unlimited supply comes control . It is just easier to call things these people do as conspiracy theories than try to understand the evil and insanity they operate at.

sawmilljim, Silverstein took out insurance against terrorist attacks. If your buildings were attacked by terrorists in '93 wouldn't you take out a rider for terrorist attack?

There's something wrong with getting insurance payment for what happened? Apparently the court didn't think so. Maybe the judge was in on it too.

This is an example of how taking some fact, he had insurance, and twisting into looking like he was forewarned. Let's think about this, was he behind the attack? If not, why would the conspirators warn him? Oh, wait, Silverstein is Jewish, and Mossad flew those planes not Saudis. My bad.

That is what I mean about intellectual honesty getting thrown out the window looking confirmation of conspiracies. Not every unexplainable fact or convenient happening is proof of a conspiracy.

The twin towers had been hit with terrorist attacks prior to 9/11. It would have been a pretty poor choice ignore that and not insure for something that had happened already. And the insurance companies would have been delighted to oblige at that time when their models suggested that having to pay out more than the increase in premiums was unlikely.

That is business, same as my home insurance where I forgo flood insurance as I live on the side of a mountain while I have earthquake insurance, which few have, because I live in earthquake country. Yet I doubt whether anyone would think I am part of a conspiracy to create an earthquake to profit from my loss.

This is well below the 23,000 gallon capacity of a Boeing 707 or 767. Thus the amount of fuel that exploded and burnt on September 11 was envisaged by those who designed the towers. Consequently, the towers were designed to survive such fires. It should also be mentioned that other high-rise buildings have suffered significantly more fires than those of the twin towers on September 11, and did not collapse.

As the CDC points out, when you hear the sound of running hooves, do not think first of zebras. It's pretty evident that it was entirely possible for those two planes to bring down the towers. I don't know what the engineering safty factor was to keep them upright, but that kind of an impact in two small areas was obviously far beyond it, so IF the point is supposed to be that somebody other than the terrorists caused the collapse, was the presence of the terrorists just a happy coincidence?

Make no mistake, I fully understand the presence of evil in the world, have no illusions that our government is immune from it. Ditto some of the wealthiest humans on the planet, same as some of the most depraved poor.

sawmilljim , I know you love to think our government was behind 9/11, and nobody is going to talk you out of it. But, I'd like you to just consider a few things.

Aluminum, even at speed won't cut through steel beams, but keep in mind the aluminum was holding jet fuel, a fluid. Fluids don't compress. The force of impact didn't have to cut through the beams, just bend them - eliminating their structural ability.

Black smoke doesn't necessarily indicate lack of oxygen, it also indicates what's burning. Ever burned tires in the open air? I don't know if you've ever stood on the top of a 40 story building in a city, I have. I can tell you it's plenty windy despite there being little or no wind on the ground. For the same reason blacksmiths use bellows to increase the heat of their coals, wind at height does the same thing.

Comparing the structural strength of a building in Los Angles, built to withstand earthquakes, to a building built on solid rock in an area with no history of quakes is apples and oranges. It proves nothing.

I'd like to see the source of the claim that trained pilots, and the terrorists trained on big jet simulators, can't hit the tallest buildings in sight. I can't fly, but once in the air, with no intention of landing, I can promise you with knowledge of the controls (they had that) you or I either one could hit them.

We all remember the quote from the idiot who said "fire can't melt steel". My analogy to a propane torch was meant to convey the fact steel doesn't have to melt to lose its structural strength. If portions of the structure are bent by impact, and others are weakened through heat, down she comes.

Believe what you want, but in my view, common sense outweighs elaborate conspiracy theories.

Common sense is what you and many more are are missing if you watched the video of John Lear . I have flown small planes stick and yoke single engine . Could I fly a twin engine maybe .A jet no way . Those jokers could never reset the course on that aircraft with no hands on experience . Anyone taking over the controls at 30,000 feet has no line of sight even if they are near target . A experienced pilot would start descent to land at about 90 miles out from 30,00 feet . That is start pulling throttles back . No elaborate conspiracy theories needed . The reason most fell for TPTB's crap story was no working knowledge of any aircraft and prior lifetime training to believe the Govt.

Also with today's information available you can view real time implosions gone wrong. Even the experts sometimes fail to drop a building in it's footprint .

And yet the four alleged hijackers who were supposedly flying the aircraft were amateur pilots, who had learned to fly in small propeller planes, and were described by their instructors as having had only "average" or even "very poor" piloting skills. But on their first attempt at flying jet aircraft, on September 11, 2001, these men were supposedly able to fly Boeing 757s and 767s at altitudes of tens of thousands of feet, without any assistance from air traffic control. Three of them were apparently able to successfully navigate their planes all the way to the intended targets, which they hit with pinpoint accuracy.

I'm a little confused, are you saying there were no planes? Sure are a lot of eyewitnesses and video footage of them.

There certainly was a conspiracy afoot that day, but it was the terrorists conspiring.
