“Just guessing here, but I’d bet neither one has a gym membership.”
Neither did I when I had 50 horses, LOL.
Here’s my favorite video of them, very casual but they look like they’re having so much fun.

Bear meets mirror. I often feel the same way about mirrors first thing in the morning.

Attempting to clean house this morning and put some music on for motivation. One of my Christmas favorites…some of you may remember from Rush Limbaugh. I can never play this song without thinking of Rush.

joebill, didn’t want to mess up Ozarks Tom’s BD thread so brought this over here. The song you posted got me listening to some Chris LeDoux this evening, then I moved on to some Ian Tyson. Ever listen to him? Both were popular when I was frequenting rodeo dances. Sure brought back some memories… My favorite Ian Tyson song…danced to this one too many times to count.

Very nice, wildhorseluvr, I used to love listening to "cowbody corner" early on Sunday mornings, and when we moved out of range tried to get Segall to take it online, but it seemed like he thought it was gonna just be a fad He has some stuff online now and again, but I think a lot of those old episodes with the great music might be gone forever.....Joe

Thanks for sharing that, joebill, I didn’t know about Steagall’s cowboy corner. Listened to part of it, will have to come back and finish later. I have known so many old cowboys like that and listened to a million stories. Yeah, some like to embroider them a bit but a lot of those wild stories, every word is true. A lot of what those men did, they did as youngsters…sometimes kids as young as 12 or so. A different generation. I see Steagall hosts a cowboy gathering complete with cowboy poetry, something dear to my heart. Had a couple good friends who were involved with the cowboy poetry contests. One was an Aussie, the other a buckaroo who went to the same Cowboy Church I did. He was quite the story teller…he could tell about stopping at the grocery store deli for a hot dog on his way to a dance and have you literally ROTFLOL.

wildhorseluvr, I published a tape and then a CD when tape decks went away. It was called "Buffalo Chips....a Southwestern Odyssey" About my adventures dealing with cowboys and ranchers, wetbacks and such. The dealers sold quite a few of them, but I could do better selling our other plunder to the same dealers and so I never burned a second run of them. Back then if it was not producing some serious income it could not hold my attention very long. If I run across any leftovers while unboxing I will send you one......Joe

That would be great, joebill. I’ll bet if we ever crossed paths we could have some interesting chats. Not that I’m interesting but I’ve known some interesting people, and you’re definitely interesting, 😁

As soon as we got ourselves clear of that swampland in the midwest and got to Tucson, it became obvious to us that the rural west as a whole celebrates the individual...NOT the masses. The individuals are where the great stories reside, very often several of them per eachum individual....... .....Joe
