Ha, I tested a farm that named their herd bull Dick. Eventually they replaced him with a new one ... Peter.

I must say that since I joined up here I have been getting quite the education on - like - scads of stuff. Now, I am adding names for bulls to that list - thanks y'all! ~Moi

I was very scared to see what Numb’s new toy was but Nosey enough to throw caution to the wind. Anyone who clicked on this thread is very brave or as in my case slightly inebriated.

Sweetie is a life long livestock grower, so telling her about bulls named Dick, Peter, Johnson, and Wang.. She suggested the name Rodney.... Nick name Rod....

Progress report... so far we got the injector pump rebuilt, and then I found the fuel tank was leaking SO... off came some tin and the tank which was a bit cruddy so it got cleaned and the lines/valves cleaned/sealed. 4 yr old diesel probably needed changed anyway (what do you do with 12 gallons of old smelly red diesel?). Along the way I found stuff I didn't know what it was, figured it out and found a few more bits that need replaced or cleaned up.
Now, if a warm day would come along, we could put it all back together. But since its started raining again, and the mud has returned, there is no real hurry until the mud is gone... again.
All we need now is a bale spear for the 4 pin front end loader.

willowgirl, sounds like you need to dump the dairy and go into landscape construction and ditch digging. Those backhoes can be addictive......Joe

I knew there was something else. I never had a tractor with a cab on it, but the ROPS with a bit of a roof is a different story. If you get a big bite of rocks or gravel or almost anything in that loader bucket and lift it too high, the load can slip over the back of the bucket and land on your head or nearly anywhere else. Of course, some folks add a bit of cat-walk to the back of the bucket to avoid that and it works OK, but for not much more time and materials you can add enough of a ROPS and roof to turn falling objects PLUS avoid blistering sun burns And include a bracket to hold a car radio and antenna, plus speakers.. ….Joe
