When I ran the garage and wrecker fleet in a busy truck stop in 1978, all of the waitresses were in total envy of one waitress named Becky. She had always topped $100 in tips by the end of her first break, and it went straight up from there.
I guess she must have been antisocial, though, since she spent all of her breaks and her lunch time out in her van in the parking lot. In spite of having a decent house in town, she also spent most of her OFF hours in one or another rest area on Interstate 57 near the truck stop. No accounting, I guess...Joe
