I doubt it, we can't supply Ukraine with weapons, how are we going to go to war? Taiwan is next, we'll support them in a slaughter to the last Taiwanese. Did you hear Romney? The best money we spend is using Ukraine as a battering ram against Russia so our people don't die. Romney doesn't care about all the Ukrainian men who want no part of this war but are kidnapped off the streets and sent to their deaths, they are expendable.
The current Taiwanese party in charge has around 24% of the vote. They are pro-independence, pro-stockpiling weapons. There are two other major parties, the Kuomintang 20% and the Peoples Party at 22% of the vote. There are several other smaller parties. The Peoples Party and the Kuomintang are pro-mainland China. So we have a large percentage of voters who wish to get along with China. So why are we involved in trying to encourage independence and the possible war when many living there are against it? This has to do with the US losing its position as world leader and confronting China who is challenging US dominance. These countries are just chess pieces who can be knocked off the board without regard to the human suffering of the civilians in these counties. I fear, because what goes around will someday come around to us.

Insane non elected and war mongers are ruling the US. There’s no way NATO can take on Russia and win. Anyone really think Russia won’t break out the nukes is really stupid. Also if the US starts something with China Russia will side with them. People forget how much water they have to cross to get to China. With all the modern technology China has crossing the pond could be a disaster.
Even at the present just how many submarines does Russian and China have setting near American waters ?

............I have come to believe that a War with Russia is VERY possible ! WHY , because Ukraine is getting it's rear kicked badly . ...........The US has been shipping unbelievable amounts of tanks , and assault equipment to Poland , etal ! Lots of US combat soldiers have also been moved into Poland as well . The US Navy has sent atleast one aircraft carrier battle group to the Black Sea as well as one of those assault ships that can flood it's backend and allow large hovercraft and large "swimming" assault craft to egress from it's flooded launch area ! ...........Some military pundits think that Russia might launch an attack on Poland from Belaruse , but no one knows for sure ! , fordy

Fordy from what I’ve seen Russia tends to let the other party come to them. Russia pretty much controls the air space. Some think at some point Russia will go to the border of Poland if NATO doesn’t get involved.

Err, is "coming to them" some kind of code to explain their invasions of Crimea, Georgia, and Ukraine?
Many claimed the Russian army was the most powerful in Europe, but it's pretty apparent they're nearly the 2nd best army in Ukraine.
Kidnapping Ukrainian people off the streets to make them soldiers? How about recruiting in Russian prisons to fill their ranks? Maybe those many thousands of fighting age Russians who've fled the country weren't Putin fans, or maybe they just didn't want to be sent into battle with no support of supplies and become cannon fodder.
I'm not negating Putin out of desperation starting with tactical nukes in Ukraine, and even in more desperation promising to nuke the US and Europe. But what exactly would he be ruler over? Answer: A wasteland that used to be Moscow and the rest of Russia with no conquering army to occupy even Poland.
The poor rationalizations excusing Russian aggression, Ukraine if full of Nazis, Ukraine was murdering Russians, Crimea asked Russia to invade, Georgia had "free" elections, are pure BS.
Proclaiming Russia is Orthodox Christian is only partially true. Even during Soviet domination the people hadn't forgotten their religious heritage, but pretending Putin is some kind of Christian is like saying Jim Jones was a true Baptist. Hey, how many Christians do you suppose were high up in the KGB? Mouthing a belief doesn't make you a believer.
As to Taiwan, there's little doubt some people there like communist China, useful idiots usually do, but living under tyrannical rule doesn't appeal to the majority by a long shot, no matter what the propaganda from CCP supported sites might say. China is claiming the entire South China Sea to be their domain, regardless of worldwide recognized established claims to 200 mile sovereignty rights of other countries. Unlike Russia, who basically wants ancient Russian rule over Eastern Europe, China has long term plans to dominate the entire world. That's what communists do. Anyone think their "Belt and Road" program is to help third world countries? Just ask those countries who've given them an inch, and lost a mile.
We live in a dangerous world, filled with people like Putin and Xi. Letting them win and expand their conquests diminishes us with each loss. I'd love to see a peace settlement in Ukraine, and China going to a live and let live with Taiwan, but neither is going to happen with megalomaniacs in charge of those countries.

sawmilljim, Beating them? No. Fighting them to a standstill, yes. If Ukraine was corrupt, the Russian army was worse. Their big invasion to take Kiev was a farce, incompetent beyond belief. Their overwhelming military numbers have gotten them where? In defensive positions. In the obverse, Ukraine's strategy last winter was dismal. They allowed the Russians to dig in, and wait to be attacked. History, and not that distant, tells us it takes overwhelming numbers to take defensive positions. Ukraine should have marshaled everything it had last winter, now it's too late. What we're hearing about is the stalled Ukrainian offensive, but we're hearing nothing about a Russian counter-offensive. I'm guessing because they don't have the ability to mount one. Russian military strategy, such as it's been in the past 100 years, is to pour men onto their enemies overwhelming them with numbers, look it up. They dn't have those number to trained and equipped troops. Anyone who thinks the Russians have only lost 50,000 men in over two years of fierce fighting is reading too much Russian propaganda.

Well maybe Russia learned something over the last 100 years. Also this isn’t the old Soviet Union. While even Joe says they have no more ammunition left Russia is turning out ammo 24/7 alone with all sorts of weapons.
As to Russia using prisoners that was Wagner for enlightenment they would receive a pardon if they lived. One reason Wagner was broke up was it was a private organization that wasn’t allowed to fight on Russia soil. So once Russia annex of territory Russia has occurred they had to leave.
As to the start the attack on Kiev many think that was an attempt to get Ukraine to talk about a peace agreement all was going good until Borous assured Ukraine could win. Once Putin realized they had no intention of any deal he started his build up of troops. At present it’s said he has 300,000 trained and in reserve. Remember Russia at this point has not declared war. Putin has been patient not wanting escalation.
As to any large attack on Moscow rest assured it will bring about the end of the world as we know it. Putin has never changed his objective from day one. He wants a neutral Ukraine or no Ukraine. Anyone really think if push comes to shove China will back Russia because China knows they are the next target of the US ?
Patrick Lancaster just released a video of interviews he did in Russia. Also Scott Ritter has lots of videos. Also Douglas Megror ( spelling)
Our escapees from the insane asylum are leading us to a nuclear war at war speed.
Missed by many is this is also a war against the dollar countries are tired of being controlled by sanctions.

sonar21.com/no-hope-for-peace-in-ukraine-only-a-war-with-the-united-states-and-nato/NO HOPE FOR PEACE IN UKRAINE — ONLY A WAR WITH THE UNITED STATES AND NATO I will put this as simply as I can — if the recent New Yorker article by Keith Gessen — The Case for Negotiating with Russia — accurately reflects the only two policy positions being debated in Washington regarding how to respond to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, then a war between Russia and the United States is inevitable. There is no viable path for negotiations. Gessen introduces you to Samuel Charap, a RAND analyst who Gessen claims, “This piece is symptomatic of the insanity that infects the establishment foreign policy community in Washington, DC and New York. Gessen “offers a different perspective on the war in Ukraine.” And what is that perspective? In the wake of Russia’s annexation of Crimea and incursion into eastern Ukraine, in 2014, Charap wrote a book, with the Harvard political scientist Timothy Colton, called “Everyone Loses. . . . Russia was the aggressor, to be sure. Blaming Russia for the “incursion into eastern Ukraine” is like blaming Poland for starting World War II with Nazi Germany. It is a lie. Charap discredits himself as a serious academic by repeating this propaganda. He blithely ignores the fact that the Government in Kiev launched the attacks on the population in the Donbass and the opinions of the majority Russian speaking inhabitants of Crimea at the time. If you’re thinking of buying the Charap book, save your money. more at the link

To those who think Russia's invasion of Ukraine is righteous, sorry to disagree, but Ukraine didn't attack the peaceful people of Donbass, heck, they were part of Ukraine. Russian formed a para-military that started assassinating Ukrainians, and when they were confronted the Russians put in their forces under the guise of not being Russian soldiers, but a civilian militia that just happened to have artillery and missiles. Putin invaded the Donbass region just like he did Crimea and Georgia, but under the false propaganda that the Ukrainian government was murdering loyal Ukrainians of Russian descent. Those people had lived there for decades after the Soviet Union fell in peace. In other words, the Donbass excuse was a fabrication from the outset. Did 14,000 people in Donbass die? Probably, but only after the Russian instigated and supported war in that region started. If it wasn't propaganda, why didn't the world hear of a genocide of Russians in Donbass?
There's no doubt I'm pro-Ukraine, although with their minuscule population compared to Russia I have little hope they can do more than sue for peace no matter the NATO help they get.
Putin greatly overestimated his military. They invaded on February 24, 2022 thinking they could take Kiev in a week, but left their convoy sitting ducks many miles away, and abandoned their destroyed vehicles and ran. Their bright idea was to send a column on a two lane highway, with no ability to disperse, incompetent from the beginning. Russia's ability to wage war has been historically, and even today, a strategy of attrition against smaller enemies. Today's Russian propaganda claims 50,000 Russian soldiers killed. I hope anyone who believes that contacts me about a bridge I have for sale. Putin called up 300,000 conscripts, why?
Just exactly how was Ukraine a threat to Russia? They might have joined NATO? They hadn't been invited to join, they were too corrupt and no significant changes to that situation were in the offing. No, Russia/Putin has been chewing away at lost Soviet "properties" since the invasion of Georgia, with it's now puppet President, sort of like Belarus.
