From Hoss Tools. I tried them last year and my germination rates were good.
What seed company do you tend to use?

Received my order from Johnnys a couple days ago. Have used them for several years, can get pelleted seed that works in my planters. The size of the seed is quite constant. Never had a germination problem. One year planted “red beets” and they were all golden beets. As it turned out they became a good seller for me. Only error that have ever had. They arrived about five days after calling in the order. Have always heard good reports on Hoss seeds. Have one of their seeders, really like it.

I got mine from Shumway's this year. I've ordered from most seed companies, and I just like Shumway's the best (no real reason) I bought all new seeds this year, for everything I could want or need (not including potatoes or onions). I have a feeling we're going to need a good garden if we want to eat.
My order was around 50 items. They said they'd be shipped on February 1st, but I told my son we'd get them earlier because the order was so big. They would make it high priority. I got the seeds today - more than a week early. The roots will arrive closer to planting time.

The local Cornell Extension ag guy said Johnny's Seeds are premier. They are very good for anyone in northern regions. A random factoid: the actual Cornell is an hour's drive from me.

At one time, Shumway was the largest seed company in the U.S. I think they're owned by Jung, now.

UseLess, Correct me if am wrong, have heard that Cornell ag extension is one of the countries best for home gardeners, market gardening, etc. To be so fortunate to live so close to a wealth of information. They must have some great test plots. I would probably make a pest of myself.

The attached "Geneva Experiment Station" has developed some well-known grapes and apples.

Seeds from Hoss arrived today. It's comforting to have them inhand, isn't it?
