It would be hard to choose, but that one may be my favorite. Beautiful symmetry and blend of colors.

It would be hard to choose, but that one may be my favorite. Beautiful symmetry and blend of colors. Well gosh, thanks. My stuff is often "off" center or one sided, etc. on purpose, just to break from having the perfect shaped things like a florist usually does. The camelias came from the yard of the family who asked me to do it. They just had a grandbaby girl, so it was in thankfulness and celebration of that blessing. The forsythia had been bit by the cold, but I said, I'm using it anyway.. just a different version of some yellow. Dozens of camelia buds in there that really can't be seen unless you stand right at it. They were tickled with it, so I reckon all is good.

partndn , How long does it take you to make an arrangement like that? Just gathering the flowers and greenery must be a chore. Well, let's see. I spent about 20 minutes fooling around my yard for the greenery. About 20 minutes to and from the florist locally. They let me just walk in their fridge and choose loose pieces to buy 'cause they know me and stuff. One trip to a Lowe's Foods grocery who has floral pieces. That's roughly 8? miles round trip. This time of year, there's not much in bloom to use. But when there is, my trips might be to people's yards, with permission, of course. In the next month or so, I will use a guy who comes to a farmer's market each week, about 7 miles from me. He makes me real fair deals, and also lets me just poke around his stuff and pick what I want to buy. I have been found stopped along the road, snipping and looking out for the po-po who might have something to say about traipsing around roadsides. I usually do these things in the morning, and take the stuff to church to put in the fridge we have for flowers. Then I go back in the evening and put everything together in the parlor kitchen, and then put the finished deal in the sanctuary. This takes usually a couple hours. If you divided my profit up over the time spent, it would be really silly! maybe 2-3 dollars an hour after all is said and done. But I like doing it. Those couple hours I'm there by myself putting it together, I find I'm humming and singing and very peaceful.

I had a hunch it might be something like that, a labor of love.

They are all beautiful but this one is my favorite. What are those white flowers? Well, darn, the picture didn't post when I quoted your post. The one I am referring to has lots of purple, yellow and white flowers. I think it was the first or second pic you posted.
